LMA offers a creative environment in a family atmosphere, where tutors are experienced industry
professionals, facilities are second to none, and hard work promises to bring great rewards.
Here is what five of our recent graduates have to say about their time at LMA –
and why you should follow in their footsteps.
“LMA has enabled me to develop into the artist I am today, with the support I received from the tutors and all the staff, it gave me the confidence to pursue a successful career in the music industry. Since graduating I’ve performed at the 02 Academy, the Arts Club, I’ve toured across the UK and my single ‘Here We Are’ reached number 1 in the iTunes downloads and number 22 in the official UK Charts. I’m excited to see what the future holds!”
Three years ago, before I started LMA, I would never have imagined my songs being played and streamed on national radio stations and music platforms. This is definitely down to the opportunities and networking that LMA provides.”
Music Industry & Performance Graduate
“From day one when I started at LMA I became one of the family. The support and love you receive from teachers and peers is overwhelming.
I have now graduated and was incredibly lucky to gain a fantastic agent that specialises in the cruise ship sector. I have now signed my first contract with Silver Sea Cruise Line as a lead production vocalist onboard there flag ship, SilverMoon.
Non of this would have been possible without the support of my teachers and peers at LMA. When people ask me to think of home, I will forever think of LMA.”
Musical Theatre Graduate
“LMA has greatly impacted my career. Since graduating, I’ve worked on world class movies, TV dramas, Netflix series and TV ads, as a Film & TV Location Assistant.
My first big job offer came via LMA’s connections with Netflix, for the hit series ‘The Irregulars’. From this I was employed to work on ‘The Batman’ movie in my hometown Liverpool, which was a dream come true!
My career is thriving, working on Channel 4’s ‘Help’, a Sky drama, ITV’s ‘Rules of The Game’ and a TV Ad for BT Sport.
Without studying at LMA, I genuinely believe I wouldn’t know the key factors of the industry, how to collaborate and have the knowledge and experience to lead me where I am today.”
Digital Film &
TV Production Graduate
“My time at LMA has given me so much joy and knowledge and helped me find who I am as an actor. I’ve only just graduated and I’ve been working non stop, for Channel 4, Channel Dave and now I’m opening up my own acting association, ‘Acting with Claudia’.”
“LMA is so connected to industry through the workshops and live briefs. Studying here has given me the skills and tools necessary to make it in the gaming sector.
Whilst I was in my final year, we were required to work for a client, this led me to my first industry-based job working for Just Play, creating their virtual space and marketing their new building.
Since then I’ve worked as a Gaming User Interface Artist for International, Hobo Ltd. The networking and collaboration skills I gained at LMA made this all possible and I’m currently working as a freelance tutor at LMA, training the next generation of Digital Games Artists.”
