The BA (Hons) degree in Music Performance and Industry at LMA is delivered by industry professionals and is designed to cultivate and develop you into the artist or performer you want to be! LMA will develop your musicianship and prepare you for work in the music industry across a variety of platforms, whether you want to be part of a band, a solo performer, songwriter, composer, session musician or producer. All of this is underpinned by theory and academic study. All LMA music staff have worked, and continue to work across the music industry, which helps to instil the discipline, training and professional standards and expectations that the industry demands once students graduate.

Additional Costs Associated with your Course:
You should anticipate the following additional costs associated with your course;
Whilst LMA music performance and industry students are able to access a wide range of musical instruments, equipment (such as headphones, microphones) and software whilst on campus free of charge there is an expectation that students maintain their own instruments. piano, keyboard and drums are provided for use in rehearsal rooms.
Guitarists and bass players will need to invest in strings for their own personal instruments as well as jack to jack cables for rehearsals.
Drummers need to provide their own drum sticks.
Vocalists may wish to purchase their own personal microphone.
Costs for this type of equipment to support your course can range from £10 to £200, depending on what is required.
Costs for optional course related trips or gigs etc – Approx up to £100 per year.
