MUSIC PRODUCTION

Our BA (Hons) Music Production is designed to develop the next generation of creative, skilled, and industry-ready music producers. Combining technical mastery, creative exploration, and real-world practice, this course equips you with the tools, skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving music and wider creative industries.

The global music industry is booming, with recorded music revenues reaching $28.6 billion in 2023. Production via Streaming platforms now accounts for 67.3% of industry revenue. The UK music industry is a significant contributor to the economy, with Liverpool and London, home to LMA, positioned as global leaders. Beyond music, other areas of the Creative Industries such as gaming, film, and TV are creating new opportunities for music producers, – e.g the revenue generated by producing music and sound for the games industry is expected to more than double by 2032.

Music Production Portfolio – You can choose either to submit examples of work you have created or provide a short analysis of the work of a music producer you admire.
