The BA (Hons) degree in Musical Theatre at LMA is delivered by industry professionals and is designed and delivered with industry in mind! Our performers are trained to develop high level skills within the three disciplines of dance, singing and acting. This is set within the context of an interesting, relevant programme of supporting theoretical study.
All major genres and practices are developed and students have the opportunity to work across a multitude of full scale musical theatre productions performed across professional theatres, along with a selection of studio performances.
With the volume of performances and experiences working across a variety of theatre venues, our graduates not only have their degree, but have the professional work ethic and etiquette required to work within the sector.

You should anticipate the following additional costs associated with your course;
Clothing and footwear Items to enable you to follow the expected dress code for your course. Initial outlay from new at the start of the course approximately £100 for clothing and £120 for shoes.
All students on the Musical Theatre course are required to follow an “all black, neutral clothing” dress code for all practical workshop and rehearsal sessions. Clothing should preferably be logo free. Items worn can include Leotard, Vest, Crop top, T-shirt, Leggings, Tights, Shorts .
You are also required to have a range of footwear Items to enable you to fully participate in the different dance class activities, including suitable trainers for fitness classes , Black split sole jazz shoes; Tan New Yorkers; Black tap shoes; Split sole ballet shoes (flesh tone of your choosing)
Costs for Optional Trips to Shows and Performances – Approx £75.00 per year.
