Course Overview
  • Explore various practical Film and Video Editing Techniques such as foley, storyboarding, scriptwriting and editing.
  • Experience with industry standard equipment and software such as Premier Pro and After Effects.

Entry Requirements
  •  A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
  • For students without a Grade 4, or above, in English and Maths, you will need to resit these qualifications at LMA.

Progression Routes

After the Post-16 course, students can progress via many different routes.

The following are examples of what students may go on to do:

  • Study for a BA Hons Degree here at LMA or at another university
  • Further specialist training
  • Employment in the TV & film industry

The post 16 BTEC Extended Diploma in Film and TV Production is a two year course that involves studying and implementing a range of techniques specifically for the TV & Film Industries.The course acts a technical foundation so that by the end of their two year study, students will have a sophisticated set of media skills that will enable them to specialise as they move into higher education or into industry.
